Rex

Rex is a 11 month old mutt of a lot of sorts (maybe hound, collie, lab) he is an adorable guy, on the smaller side about 40 lbs, has a longer coat that feel and looks beautiful in the sun. He came to us about 5 months ago, and very quickly we knew he was a sad, lost, under socialized soul. It’s very important for a puppy to be exposed to many things at a young age, if they are not, you can end up with a skittish, nervous and very sad puppy. In Rex’s case, he was not taught strangers are OK and not everyone is out to hurt him so when he meets new people (mostly men) he gets scared, barks and isn’t sure how to act until he gets used to them which can take 5 minutes or 5 hours…

Rex is a very happy boy once he warms up, he loves his humans that take care of him and he is very food motivated. A puppy like Rex needs a home with just the right amount of stimulation, not too quiet but not too crazy. A home with older kids, and possibly another super happy/outgoing, dog friendly brother of sister would be great. He needs patients and love from a family that can teach him that not everyone is out to hurt him and with a little bond with the right family, this boy will be amazing. Just watching him the last few months, he has become more confident, more social, and happier by the day. He has so much potential to thrive and be such an awesome boy! It’s time for him to find that forever family that can do that for him. Do you believe Rex would be a good fit in your home?
